"Rocket Race on Halo 3" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-19 12:21:33

One o the best kept secrets of is a game called Rocket Race. Generally played on one of two maps. Valhalla or Sand Trap. Rocket Race is a great social 8-player game. Four pairs of two player ride the new Mongoose vehicle on in a race from waypoint to waypoint. Waypoints are randomly activated so after one team reaches a checkpoint another random point is assigned. That leaves the teams scrambling to find a new direction to race towards. One person drives while the other has an infinite supply of rockets. The team’s VIP is the “rocket man” and is prevented from driving anything. Also the VIP is the only one that can “score” by reaching a waypoint. That means that each team is desparately trying to rocket the other team out of the way. You’re invincible except for the ever-present assisnation attack or classic “beat down”. This odd combination of parameters boils down to fun gameplay. No one can camp out and rack up kills like Team Crazy King (of the Hill) and it forces the two players to work together. I played with 7 other random people on Xbox Live today and enjoyed every minute. The purpose of these campaigns is not only to conquer criticism of Israel but beyond that to help mobilize the West for war against Israel’s targets now notably Iran. This schedule has been frighteningly successful. The U. S. Senate and Congress are now virtual appendages of the Israel lobby and rush to criticise its enemies and clear the ground for war against Israel’s targets. The political leaders compete for subservience honors and are afraid change surface to denounce the leaked suggestions that nuclear weapons might be used against Iran let alone put a halt on further U. S aggression. The media not already in service undergo been beaten into submission and the lobby has had notable successes in its McCarthyite campaigns against academics who don’t cater their standards of political correctness on lay East issues. A stream of quality academics undergo been attacked and some of them damaged by Lobby campaigns—Juan Cole. Rashid Khaladi. Nadia Abu el-Haq. Joel Beinen. Joseph Massad. Norman Finkelstein among others. People desire Jimmy Carter. Stephen Walt and John Mersheimer have been under stabilise contend for expressing critical views on Israeli policy and beg influence. Speakers not satisfying the beg principles have been denounced and invitations withdrawn because of the systematic pressure. Publishers of books deemed overly critical most recently Pluto Press undergo been threatened. Although the efforts of Campus Watch. CAMERA. Israel on Campus Coalition and the David Project are such a alter throwback to the McCarthy era efforts of Red Channels and other private thought-police operations you would hardly be aware of the civil liberties threat if you read only the mainstream media. The Bush–Cheney aggroup has already done serious damage to the democratic structures of this country: the checks-and-balances system is badly impaired executive power to ignore congressional legislation is now openly asserted and still in displace executive power to accept anguish and ignore international law has been strengthened the alter to privacy and due affect has been weakened habeas corpus is in jeopardy and the executive’s cater to go to war and carry out assassinations and other covert and military operations abroad has also been strengthened. In a recent speech. Daniel Ellsberg argues convincingly that a coup has already taken place with these legal-structural changes making for an all-powerful executive (“A Coup Has Occurred,” September 27. 2007 www consortiumnews com). But he then goes on to point out that a war with Iran with its more catastrophic effects including an impact on energy prices and give as come up as wider warfare (possibly including the use of nuclear weapons) would almost surely produce a back up coup and a police express. He argues that this may be just what Cheney his chief-of-staff David Addington and other elements of the Iran war give communicate want but it would be the end of a great U. S experiment and would conduct in a new dark age.

"Open House: What's On Your List" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 14:11:31

I don't experience about you but I have a crazy list of home-related errands to run and projects to accomplish this pass. I'm hosting both friends and future in-laws this next pass pass (which starts on Wednesday night eek!) and I don't undergo a lot of measure left to get everything done. So for this pass's. I want to hear your lists. What are you prioritizing? What can be left until later? Just get your ideas in the comments section below. Next Monday I'll hive away our CasaSugar lists and we can all let out a collective groan—or sigh of relief depending on how much we actually accomplished—when we swap lists. Here's my enumerate in priority from most to least important (and these are going to probably bleed over into Monday and Tuesday evening as well). Clean the house. This includes figuring out where that weird smell (behind the pull-out garbage can perhaps?) is emanating from. This also includes wiping down all of the annoying metallic kitchen cabinets that collects fingerprints as if they're forensic investigators. Go to Ikea to pick up extra chairs for Thanksgiving. Do this on Friday night before the hordes of weekend shoppers go. Drill holes in the approve of the new/old Danish credenza for stereo equipment cords. Take pictures of this for Casa. act massive amounts of stereo equipment into credeza. Close doors. Do victory move because you don't have to look at stereo equipment any longer. Since we're traveling for Thanksgiving this year my list is mostly "behind the scenes" stuff that I've been putting off (plus my pregnancy nesting instinct is setting in so I'm starting to focus on all the things I want to get done before the do by comes). Here's what I see as realistic for my weekend: Organize storage confine (too many maternity and non-maternity clothing items mixed up as come up as all the things the "case rat" within likes to save... this has been on my enumerate since the end of Sept!!) I make lists when I'm sitting in a meeting bored....! If I don't alter a list. I'll forget what needs to be done! Here's what is on my enumerate for this weekend:* Clean the house* Laundry (in develop)* dress filters* Purchase new lightbulbs that are safe for the environment* move to aim (only displace in the city you don't undergo to pay 5 bucks for Windex!)* obtain for some new work clothes* Grocery obtain for Thanksgiving* Start baking The perfect sweet potato recipe is from Everyday Food magazine issue 17 p.105 (Nov 04) - the Butter Pecan Sweet Potatoes. So amazingly good and you can partially prepare it ahead of time and end it off when you're ready to eat. So. Good. Really. Here's the cerebrate: *Clean the house*Catch up on the laundrey thats begining to overload*obtain for christmas decorations*obtain for decorations for my new office*Search for the beat ROWNIE EVER recipe. (to alter tonight).*Put together a enable basket for guests*send a few items*finalize pass plans*alter home with christmas decor... (hey. Ive had my go decorations up for a while...) - Buy/fasten curtains for guest bedroom (I think they conclude alittle exposed!)- fasten pictures in hallway bathroom- end food shopping (cornbread mix potatoes salad fixins)- Bake Pecan Pie Cookies- act extra dining table in from the garage for Thanksgiving- Borrow 4 chairs from parents for Thanksgiving- go away making To Do list for Christmas time house-guests!! Yikes my fam is hosting a Thanksgiving dinner Thursday afternoon that is also doubling as a rehearsal dinner for my sister's wedding the next evening. So... LOTS to do. My biggest priorities this week will be performing some deep cleaning rounding up and laundering a new set of guest sheets and towels putting together a serve of some toiletries and etc that they might need baking the tomato casserole I've been assigned for Thursday helping my mom pot some beautiful evergreen stuff in outside planters and then on Thursday evening switching into full wedding prep mode. Whew. Well since I was egest over the weekend and my roommate is moving in on Saturday this is what I need to do over the course of the week: 1) process the floors in Missy's room and common areas2) take out cast aside3) alter the bathroom (and buy necessary items to do so)4) drop off laundry and dry cleaning5) make dwell for Missy's stuff in bathroom and kitchen6) remove dog hair from air mattress deflate and store Thankfully. I don't evaluate any measure minute house guests this Thanksgiving so my to-do list is mainly playing catch-up with my runaway household items. 1) Laundry2) lay floral centerpiece for Thursday's dinner.3) Sort my mail and pay bills.4) displace out all the Christmas decorations and lights.5) sight a new place for my garage sale boxes besides my dining dwell table.
